SELF-CONTROL

Someone prayed, “Lord remind me that it takes 40 muscles to frown, 20 muscles to smile and only 5 muscles to make a fist and punch someone’s mouth.” Most of us do not need that reminder. Proverbs 25:28 says, “A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls.”

PREDICT THE WEATHER?

We can't predict next weeks weather accurately, how can we predict what the weather will be like in 100 years? Likewise we don't know if we'll even be alive tomorrow, so don't put off for tomorrow what we can do today. "Don't brag about tomorrow, since you don't know what the day will bring." Proverbs 27:1 NLT And how about the time to receive Jesus as your Savior? "...the right time is now. Today is the day of salvation." 2 Corinthians 6:2 NLT

CURSE OR A SPELL

Do you believe in the power of a curse or spell? Proverbs 26:2 says, “Like a flitting sparrow, like a flying swallow, so a curse without cause shall not alight.” The Message puts it this way, “You have as little to fear from an undeserved curse as from the dart of a wren or the swoop of a swallow.” remember what Jesus did, “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us...” Galatians 3:13

LOYALTY

The marriage vows include, “for better or worse…”. Too often when the going gets tough many quit. “Many will say they are loyal friends, but who can find one who is truly reliable!” Proverbs 20:6 NLT
Jesus asked, “'Do you also want to go away?' But Peter answered, 'To whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.'” John 6:67,68

THE LAZY MAN'S PAY

“Those too lazy to plow in the right season will have no food at the harvest. If you love sleep, you will end in poverty. Keep your eyes open, and there will be plenty to eat!” Proverbs 20:4,13 NLT Some times we are so busy sowing the wrong seed that we are too tired to sow the right seed. Galatians 6:8,9 “He that sows to the flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sow to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

MACHO MAN ?

No one is going to make me look like a fool. Maybe that’s because you’re doing a good enough job yourself. “Avoiding a fight is a mark of honor, only fools insist on quarreling.” Proverbs 20:3 NLT

I ONLY HAD ONE, OFFICER
