OUR GENERATION?

BALANCE

“O God, I beg two favors from you, let me have them before I die. First help me never to tell a lie. Second, Give me neither poverty nor riches! Give me just enough to satisfy my needs. For if I grow rich, I may deny you and say, ‘Who is the LORD?’. And if I am too poor, I may steal and thus insult God’s holy name.” Proverbs 30:7-9 NLT

PROTECTION

Now days we need security for our ‘stuff’ and even our identity. “Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection.” Proverbs 30:5 NLT

NEITHER EDUCATED NOR RELIGIOUS

“I have not mastered human wisdom, nor do I know the Holy One. Who but God goes up to heaven and comes back down? Who holds the wind in his fists? Who wraps up the oceans in his cloak? Who has created the whole wide world? What is his name – and his son’s name? Tell me if you know?” Proverbs 30:3,4 NLT “And this is life eternal; that they might know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” John 17:3

OPPOSITES DO NOT ALWAYS ATTRACT

Some of our idioms are not always true, but the Bible is. “The righteous despise the unjust; the wicked despise the godly.” Proverbs 29:27 NLT

FEAR

Fear man and fear everything. Fear God and fear nothing else. “The fear of man brings a snare; but whoever puts his trust in the LORD shall be safe.” Proverbs 29:25

PRIDE AND HUMILITY
